Danny Guzman - Bboy

My name is Danny “Lissome” Guzman, I was born in Fitchburg, MA. I began dancing at the age of 3, however, Bboying a.k.a. "Breakdancing" since 1998. My older brother introduced me to this art-form. It's certainly a unique, abstract form of self-expression with a "Skies the limit" philosophy. The Hip-Hop Culture is a positive outlet for me off the dance floor just as much, if not more, than it has been on the floor. The life lessons are endless! Aside from sharing my art-form dance instructing, I also travel to compete with my dance family - T.R.U. Crew (Try Rocking Us). In the past 6 years I've been awarded a United Way Community Builders Award in 2010, performed numerous times for theMayor of Leominster, NASA representatives, several local parades and festivals in the New England area, after school programs, workshops and conferences ranging from Elementary to College level. I'm passionate about sharing the Peace, Love, Unity, and Having Fun with the world!

Miss Robin has recently returned to her hometown of Shrewsbury after 13 years as a dance educator in New York City. She fondly remembers being turned on to modern & jazz dance when the Denise Day Dance Center in Shrewsbury performed to all the dances in the rock opera TOMMY, before it became a Broadway hit (she danced in “Eyesight to the Blind”!). In college she took advantage of the Five College Dance Department in Western Massachusetts, where she became enamored with the history of modern dance, which was led by female dancers at the beginning of the 20th Century. Her passion for dance took her to Emerson College where she earned and M.A. in performing arts, and performance with the OffBalance Dance Company in Boston. As a New Yorker she intensively studied dance education at the 92nd Street Y, and took advantage of as many dance classes and workshops as she could. In the NYC public school system she was faced with many challenging students and neighborhoods which taught her how those populations can thrive when given a chance to dance, choreograph and express ideas through the art form of dance. One of her most prized creations is Moving Your Body, Finding Your Voice, an innovative girls-only program using dance, art, creative writing, yoga and meditation as a vehicle to develop high self-esteem and resilience. The exploration of students’ creativity and self-development are what matters most to her, whichever classes she is teaching. Also certified to teach yoga to all ages, she hopes to bring this union of body and mind to Premier Dance Academy, where is she is very happy to have landed.
